Look! I’m A Ghost are a great 5-piece pop-punk / rock band from Surrey,UK. Musicscoop.net says “Look! I’m A Ghost have followed up last years “Saved By The Bell” with a track that proves that rather than being a lightweight imitation of some of the more renowned names of their genre they too can write songs with enough lyrical substance to propel them further into the affections of many this year”. I decided to use a musicscoop.net review for this band, because they describe them perfectly. This band are definitely worth listening to, and seeing live!

A five piece band from Portsmouth, Hampshire, Cut The Blue Wire are making a name for themselves around the UK. XFM say the band has ‘Sentiments of At The Drive-In, the soul of Enter Shikari and the twister ambience of Bloc Party’, all making a powerful combination! Cut The Blue Wire have some great upcoming shows over the next few months; the latter part of the tour will coincide with the band releasing their debut E.P ready for summer!

Status Green are a Pop / Rock band from New Jersey. This band have a good energy to their music, and boast great melodies and powerful, catchy vocals. You can hear early punk influences in their songs, which gives them an edgy feel, however they still maintain a fresh popy sound. What I like about this band is they mix well established genres but still manage to sound origional; Lets hope we hear more like this!

Stickboy classes himself a ‘Melodramatic Popular Song / Folk / Indie’ artist. Hailing from Manchester, with its already well established music scene, Stickboy seems to be getting a name for himself on the circuit. His music is reminiscent of artists such as The Shins, and is something you could easily listen to on a summers day. He has a new limited CD album coming soon called ‘Under The Sleepy Moon,’ and can also be found on iTunes. He’s definitely worth listening to, and as summer approaches, I know for certain he’ll be on my playlists!

Keeping Pace With Planes are a 6-Piece hailing from Cannock, UK. They throw catchy synths, hard driven guitar riffs and beatdowns into a blender and mix it up as much as possible, creating something unique. KPWP has, and always will be self-sufficient. They run everything themselves in between studies, work and writing songs. They’ve shared the stage with great bands like: Flood Of Red, We Are The Ocean, Tonight Is Goodbye, NeverSayDie and Dividing The Line. Anyone who’s anyone would want to check out this band!

Based out of the steady-growing underground Long Island music scene, The OverUnder has quickly established themselves as an up and coming band to watch. After coming together in April of 2007, the 5-piece pop punk outfit wasted little time in starting to build a fan base. With a boatload of determination, energetic live shows and songs that will most likely be stuck in your head for days, The OverUnder is showing no signs of going away anytime soon.
