Mariday!

Category: Acoustic, alternative, electro, folk

Mariday are an Alternative/Progressive female duo from New York. Their music fuses catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics and dreamy instrumentations with a great vocal delivery, which shows a likeness to artists such as K.T Tunstall and Beth Gibbons (of Portishead). I was hooked instantly to these girls, and I think they have a great deal of potential!

The Age Of Rockets!

Category: Indie, alternative, electro, folk

The Age of Rockets are a great Indie / Rock / Classical trio from New York, and they have one of the most unique sounds I have heard for a while. They fuse intriguing vocal harmonies with bright string parts and powerful drums. They are reminiscent in many ways of The Postal Service, however they still maintain their own strong musical ideas, creating a sound which will blow you away. I’m still in shock at how good these guys are, and they are not a band to be overlooked!

Cut The Blue Wire!

Category: Post-punk, electro, pop

A five piece band from Portsmouth, Hampshire, Cut The Blue Wire are making a name for themselves around the UK. XFM say the band has ‘Sentiments of At The Drive-In, the soul of Enter Shikari and the twister ambience of Bloc Party’, all making a powerful combination! Cut The Blue Wire have some great upcoming shows over the next few months; the latter part of the tour will coincide with the band releasing their debut E.P ready for summer!

The Daggers!

Category: electro, pop, rock

The Daggers are a 5-piece electro-rock band from Manchester, UK. Their uplifting high-tempo music has been described as ‘Gary Numan-goosing, skyscraping electro-rock!’. I think this band have a great deal of personality, and I think a lot of people will really love them.
No one can deny the Daggers have the potential to become a globe-straddling pop band!
